Usage Policy¶
AI1SAD estimates environmental and surveillance-relevant shark encounter conditions. It does not predict individual attacks or guarantee safety outcomes.
Allowed Uses¶
- Public research and education using scrubbed public records.
- Environmental and coastal-safety planning.
- Dashboarding and analysis that preserves privacy and uncertainty.
- Operational triage for where safety or drone teams may look first.
Prohibited Uses¶
- Claiming AI1SAD predicts individual shark attacks.
- Claiming AI1SAD guarantees beach, swimmer, diver, surfer, or vessel safety.
- Publishing victim names, private notes, exact addresses, restricted source content, or raw source text.
- Using scores to infer shark intent or blame/provocation.
- Circumventing rate limits, API keys, tier limits, or access controls.
- Reselling raw API output in a way that violates source licenses or privacy rules.
Attribution¶
Public users should cite AI1SAD and the underlying public data sources where appropriate. Third-party sources may have independent licensing or attribution requirements.
Operational Use¶
AI1SAD outputs are decision-support signals. They do not replace lifeguard, beach authority, aviation, wildlife, weather, emergency, or local government guidance.
